ARTHUR CHINNERY
1914-1918.
Arthur Chinnery lived on the Tye,Bulmer in 1913.
His mother Margaret was a widow and he had three brothers and a sister. George and Walter were farm labourers, Agnes was a domestic servant and William was at school.
At the time of the 1891 census Arthur was seven years old making him about 29 years old when he joined the Army. In February 1896 he was amongst 15 children to receive a Sunday School prize.,
The only reference to a Arthur Chinnery in the Essex Regimental Museum at Chelmsford is one who lived in Pebmarsh and who joined the new Kitcheners Army. This may/may not be the same person.
