The village of Bulmer is situated about two miles from Sudbury, and the parish in 1863 contained 2,880 acres. In the time of Edward the Confessor the name was written Bolemer; in 1330 it is called in several documents Bolomere, but in modern times it has been abbreviated to Bulmer.

A site for enthusiastic supporters of history in this North East corner of Essex. Discovering Bulmer’s past residents their mini biographies, their properties, local history books of Bulmer, burials are listed and much more.

The Group is self funded by attendees at our public meetings, generously buying raffle tickets and donating the prizes.
